Florida pharmacists required to check database before dispensing painkillers - News:  'via Blog this'

Florida's "drug database took a leap forward Monday by requiring pharmacists to check it to see whether a patient is illegally 'doctor shopping' for powerful painkillers."

And "pharmacists said requests for the painkillers have been dropping off since they started having to enter the prescriptions in the database beginning Sept. 1."
